GeForce 537 34 (WHQL)

Nvidia has released an update for their Game Ready driver which you can download using the direct download links provided below. This is the Game Ready Driver version 537.34. Before you proceed to download and install this update, we advise that you go through the list of issues as well.

If you don’t already know, Nvidia publishes two types of drivers; Game Ready drivers and Studio drivers. The Game Ready drivers are game-focused, include support for newer games, and other game-related improvements and optimizations. Whereas the Studio drivers are designed for more stability and GPU-focused graphical rendering.

The Game Ready driver includes support for DLSS2 technology in Mortal Combat 1 and Lies of P. However, Nvidia has removed support series 600 GPUs, since they are now outdated and will no longer receive further updates.

Known issues

Nvidia is aware of the following list of issues with this update:

  • [Halo Infinite] Significant performance drop is observed on Maxwell-based GPUs.
  • [DaVinci Resolve] This driver implements a fix for creative application stability issues seen during heavy memory usage. We’ve observed some situations where this fix has resulted in performance degradation when running DaVinci Resolve. This will be addressed in an upcoming driver release.
  • Small checkerboard-like patterns may randomly appear in Chromium-based applications.
  • Some monitors may display random black screen flicker when in Display Stream Compression mode when using R530 drivers.
  • [GeForce RTX 4060] GPU monitoring utilities reporting incorrect idle power usage.
  • Event Viewer logs an nvlddmkm error at the end of the OCCT video RAM test when memory is full.
  • [GeForce GTX 10/RTX 20 series] PC may randomly freeze/bugcheck when Windows Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling and NVIDIA SLI are both enabled.
  • The horizontal band may appear when cloning a G-SYNC display to an HDMI monitor.
  • A new NVIDIA icon is created in the system tray each time a user switch takes place in Windows.
  • [Alienware X17 R2 w/ GeForce RTX 3080 Ti] Display goes blank when the DirectX game is launched while a notebook is in dedicated GPU mode.
  • [RTX 4060 Ti] Display may randomly flicker with a black bar on the top of the screen when using desktop apps.

Apart from these open issues, users have reported a bunch of other issues on the GeForce 537.34 Feedback Thread. Here are a few of the reported issues:

  • Starfield is no longer playable and users had to roll back the driver update in order to fix the issues.
  • Users are still seeing the nvlddmkm error randomly.
  • Ratchet Clank Rift Apart is randomly crashing.

After considering all the pros and cons, if you still wish to update your current Nvidia driver, continue to the next section of this post.
