NVIDIA GEFORCE DRIVERS

Nvidia has published the Game Ready driver version 537.58 for its supported GPUs which support some upcoming and launching game titles. Since their priority was including game support for these titles, they did not release a Studio driver.

This update includes support for the following game titles:

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (Open Beta)
  • Forza Motorsport
  • Lords of the Fallen

Additionally, it also addresses a few issues but still has some open issues that will hopefully be addressed in a future update.

Nvidia has also published its article on the supported games that explains what the games are about when they’ll be launching, and how Nvidia consumers can benefit from using this latest Game Ready driver.

New in Nvidia Game Ready driver 537.58

As mentioned earlier, the Nvidia GeForce driver version 537.58 supports the games Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (Open Beta), Forza Motorsport, and Lords of the Fallen. If you are interested in playing these games as soon as they are launched, it is recommended that you upgrade your Nvidia driver to this release.

Additionally, this driver update also includes the following fixes:

  • Add Microsoft Store/Xbox Game Pass application profile for Lies of P.
  • [GeForce RTX 4060] GPU monitoring utilities reporting incorrect idle power usage are fixed.
  • Increased DPC latency being observed when the GPU is connected over HDMI 2.1 FRL at 10bpc/12bpc is addressed.

With these new improvements, there are also some open issues.

Open issues in GeForce graphics driver 537.58

The following issues still exist in this Nvidia release:

  • [Halo Infinite] Significant performance drop is observed on Maxwell-based GPUs.
  • Some monitors may display random black screen flicker when in Display Stream Compression mode when using R530 drivers.

Follow the steps below to download and install the GeForce 537.58 Game Ready driver:

  1. Open the Nvidia GeForce Game Ready driver 537.58 page and click Download.

  2. On the next page, click Download again.

  3. Once downloaded, run the file to open the installation wizard.

  4. You will be asked for an extraction path. Once confirmed, click OK.

  5. Select the associated radio button, then click “Agree and continue.”

    Once extracted, the installation wizard will launch automatically.

    It will initially scan your system to see if it meets the minimum requirements and to detect the graphics card. On the next screen, select whether you want to install the driver only, or also opt for the GeForce Experience.

  6. Now, select the type of installation and click Next.

    We suggest that you choose “Express Installation.”

  7. When the installation completes, click Close.

How to uninstall Nvidia drivers

If for some reason you wish to uninstall the graphics driver, here is how to do so:

  1. Press the Windows Key + i shortcut keys to open the Settings app.

  2. Click Apps.

  3. Then click “Installed apps” on the right.

  4. Search and click on “NVIDIA Windows Display Drivers” from the list of programs.

  5. Click the Uninstall button.

  6. Click Uninstall again.

You can also completely remove old drivers that are no longer in use.

How to rollback/downgrade Nvidia drivers

If you have not removed the old Nvidia drivers manually and want to downgrade or roll back to the older version of the driver, you can easily do it using the Device Manager. Just follow the steps below to rollback NVIDIA drivers:

  1. Press the Windows Key + R shortcut keys to open the Run Command box.

  2. Type in “devmgmt.msc” and press Enter to open the Device Manager.

  3. Click “Display Adapters” to expand it.

  4. Right-click the NVIDIA driver and then click Properties.

  5. Switch to the “Driver” tab.

  6. Click “Roll Back Driver.”

Please note that if there is no old driver available in the Windows cache, the “Roll Back Driver” button will be greyed out. Also, Windows only stores one previous version of a driver, so you can only roll back to the one installed before the latest update.
