If you don’t already know, Nvidia publishes two types of drivers; Game Ready drivers and Studio drivers. The Game Ready drivers are game-focused, include support for newer games, and other game-related improvements and optimizations. Whereas the Studio drivers are designed for more stability and GPU-focused graphical rendering.
The Game Ready driver includes support for some new games, as well as improvements for other technologies on other gaming titles. That said, both the Studio driver and the Game Ready driver update fix jittering and tearing issues with certain applications.

Known issues
Nvidia is aware of the following list of issues with these updates. The issues with both of the updates are the same:
- [Halo Infinite] Significant performance drop is observed on Maxwell-based GPUs.
- [DaVinci Resolve] This driver implements a fix for creative application stability issues seen during heavy memory usage. We’ve observed some situations where this fix has resulted in performance degradation when running DaVinci Resolve. This will be addressed in an upcoming driver release.
- Small checkerboard-like patterns may randomly appear in Chromium-based applications.
- Some monitors may display random black screen flicker when in Display Stream Compression mode when using R530 drivers.
- [GeForce RTX 4060] 3rd party GPU monitoring utilities reporting incorrect idle power usage.
- Event Viewer logs nvlddmkm error at the end of the OCCT video ram test when memory is full.
- [Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart] Game may display fluctuations in frame rate when using Reflex with DirectStorage.
- [GeForce GTX 10/RTX 20 series] PC may randomly freeze/bugcheck when Windows Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling and NVIDIA SLI are both enabled.
Apart from these known issues, users have reported a bunch of other issues on the GeForce 536.99 Feedback Thread, most of which have to do with stuttering and screen tearing. Here are a few o the reported issues:
- Gray artifacts and stuttering sounds when watching videos on YouTube, models, and parts of the interface appeared and disappeared in games.
- Screen tearing while scrolling on Steam.
- Some users are still getting nvlddmkm errors on RTX 2060 and 4060 GPUs.
- Massive frame drops on rare occasions when aiming down sight in Rainbow Six Siege (Vulkan).
- Significant decrease in performance in World of Warcraft.
