Support for Passkeys in iCloud Keychain
A passkey is a digital token created through device-specific authentication and replaces an app’s/website’s credentials. Passkeys stored in your iCloud Keychain will now be supported by Chrome 118. Chrome 118 will be able to use passkeys stored in it in addition to passwords and usernames if you sync all of your login information to iCloud.
To access iCloud Keychain passkeys on macOS 13.5 or later, you must give Chrome permission. Then, these passkeys will be provided as login options. You will only see a generic iCloud Keychain choice if you don’t give access, and you will need to manually select it each time you log in.
Based on what you’ve recently used and whether you have additional passkeys stored elsewhere, Chrome will intelligently decide where and how to create passkeys in the Keychain.
Read Aloud option in Reading Mode
Google already introduced the Reading Mode in Chrome 115 which is ideal for people who do not want to be distracted by images and animations, and only want to read. Now, Google has also incorporated a Read Aloud option in the Reading Mode.
Using this Read Aloud option, you can listen to what has been written on the screen and not actually having to read it word for word.
