AMD Adrenalin 23.11.1 Includes Support For Modern Warfare III And More, Fixes In-Game Flickering

AMD has released the Adrenalin graphics driver 23.11.1. This update supports new game titles, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and more. Additionally, it also makes a few in-game flickering fixes and makes some performance improvements in others.

On top of that, this driver update also includes support for the new Radeon Boost technology in Alan Wake 2. Radeon Boost automatically adjusts the frame’s resolution when it detects fast on-screen character motion via user input, which in turn allows higher FPS. This whole process has little-to-no effect on the perceived quality of the frame.

Known issues

AMD has also released a list of the known issues with this update:

• Audio may intermittently become out of sync with video when recording from AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition with AV1 codec.
• Intermittent corruption may be observed on the racetrack while playing EA Sports WRC. 
• Stars may intermittently fail to appear while playing Crysis Remastered.
• Intermittent micro-stuttering may be experienced when running Chromium-based browsers on systems that pair a Radeon RX 7000 series GPU with a secondary display connected to an AMD Ryzen 7000 series processor.

How to check your graphics card (GPU)

If you are not sure which dedicated GPU you have on your computer, here is a way to check it:

1. Press the CTRL + Shift + Esc shortcut keys to open the Task Manager.

2. Switch to the “Performance” tab.

   

3. Click on the “GPU” sub-tab.

   

   Here, you will find the name of your graphics card written in the top-right corner of the Task Manager.

Uninstall AMD Adrenalin software

The Adrenalin software is not only a driver but also a standalone software that helps you control the GPU. You can remove the software from your PC if it is not needed. Here is how:

1. Press the Windows Key + R shortcut keys to open the Run Command box.

2. Type in “appwiz.cpl” and press Enter to open the Programs & Features applet.

   

3. Look for AMD Software, right-click it, and then click “Uninstall.”

   The uninstallation wizard will now launch.

4. Click “Uninstall” at the bottom of the window and the wizard will do the rest.

   

5. When uninstalled, click “Restart.”

   

After the restart, the software will be removed from your computer.

Takeaway

The AMD Adrenalin driver version 23.11.1 includes support for new gaming titles, including the much anticipated Modern Warfare III. Therefore, if you are planning on playing these supported titles as soon as they are released, we recommend that you upgrade your GPU driver to this version.

That being said, the AMD Adrenalin driver 23.11.1 is released in 2 variants: one for the regular GPUs and the other for the Vega and Polaris series GPUs.
