Windows 11 23H2 has been launched by Microsoft, which makes it the latest Microsoft OS available at the time of writing this post. Along with the basic Windows editions, Microsoft has also made available the Enterprise Evaluation edition.

Although the actual Enterprise edition needs a valid license to function, you can try it out first with these evaluation versions that are valid for 90 days from the installation date. It can be downloaded in various languages, including English, Chinese, German, Italian, and some others.

This guide discusses how to download the Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise edition and what it includes.

What is the Windows Enterprise edition?

The Windows Enterprise edition is designed for users within the corporate environments. It includes salient features that other editions, like Professional, lack. These additional features meet the requirements of organizations for better manageability and control.

The Enterprise editions are only available through Volume Licensing (VL). This edition offers all the features available in the Professional edition, plus Direct Access, Windows To Go Creator, BranchCache, Start Screen Control, etc.

Enterprise editions are also available in the Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC), which are kept up to date for longer times than the regular editions and a new one comes along every 2-3 years.

Requirements for Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise edition

Before deploying Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise on your PC or the computers on your network, it is important to make sure that they meet the system requirements.

Like all Windows 11 requirements, devices for Windows 11 23H2 must also meet the same minimum requirements, which include the following:

• A 64-bit system architecture.
• Minimum 2 CPU Cores are required.
• TPM 2.0 is required for installation. TPM 2.0 was mostly integrated into 8th-generation CPUs. So at least 8th Gen CPU is required.
• Only UEFI is supported. Legacy boot is not supported.

Here’s how to download the Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise edition evaluation from Microsoft’s official page:

1. Open Microsoft’s Windows 11 Enterprise page using any web browser.

2. Click “Download the ISO – Enterprise” under “Get started for free.”

   

3. Fill out the form on the side with your details and click “Download now” at the end.

   

4. On the next page, click “64-bit edition” in the row for the language you wish to download the ISO image file in.

   

The ISO image file will now begin downloading. Note that the size of the file may vary depending on your preferred language.

For example, as we observed, the size for the Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise ISO in English (US) is 5.8 GB, whereas the size of the file is 6 GB when we download it in Chinese.

Furthermore, unlike the Windows 11 consumer version, the download links for Windows 11 Enterprise do not expire. So basically you can save the Windows 11 Enterprise download link and download the ISO using the same link any time you want.

Download Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise using Media Creation Tool (MCT)

Note: At the moment, the Media Creation Tool downloads Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.1702, instead of the latest Windows 11 23H2. Therefore, the following method will download Windows 11 22H2 Enterprise. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved soon by Microsoft.

Another way to download the Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise edition is through the Media Creation Tool. However, this method requires a tiny tweak with a simple command that converts the consumer-based MCT into one for the Enterprise edition.

Use the following steps to download it using MCT:

1. Download the Windows 11 Media Creation tool.

2. Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run Command box.

3. Type in “cmd” and press CTRL + Shift + Enter to run an elevated Command Prompt instance.

4. Use the CD command to change the directory to where the MCT is downloaded (as shown below):

   CD /d [PathToMCT]

   

5. Now use the following command to run the MCT to download Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise in any of your preferred languages:

   Note: You can change the”en-US” code in the following command to any other language code that you want to download the ISO image in.

   MediaCreationTool.exe /EULA Accept /Retail /MediaArch x64 /MediaLangCode en-US /MediaEdition Enterprise

   

   The Media Creation Tool will now run.

6. When asked for a product key, put in a product key from the internet (this is only temporary) and click Next.

   

7. Select “ISO file” and click Next.

   

8. Select a location to save the ISO file and click Save.

   Your download will now begin.

9. When the Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise ISO download completes, click Finish on the MCT wizard.

   

Now that you have downloaded Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise, you may continue to create a bootable USB drive or deploy it by mounting it.
